1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and any additional policies we provide, including our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you also agree to Apple’s Standard EULA: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. If there is a conflict between Apple’s Standard EULA and these Terms, these Terms govern the Service (to the extent permitted by applicable law).
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
3. The Service
Collectible Identifier – AI Scan provides antique identification and an AI assistant experience. The Service may require you to upload images and send text to our backend for processing.
- No professional advice. Outputs such as identification results, historical notes, or estimated values are generated automatically and may be inaccurate. They are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional appraisal, financial, legal, or other advice.
- You are responsible for your use. You are responsible for verifying any information before relying on it, including before buying, selling, or insuring an item.
4. Your Content
“Content” means images, text, and any other material you submit through the Service.
- Your rights. You retain ownership of your Content as between you and us.
- License to operate the Service. You grant the developer of the App a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, and process your Content solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Service (including running the identification and chat features), and to ensure safety and integrity.
- Permissions and responsibilities. You represent that you have all rights needed to submit the Content and that your Content does not violate any laws or rights of others (including privacy and intellectual property rights).
5. Intellectual Property
The App, Service, and all related materials (excluding your Content) are owned by the developer of the App or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App for your own lawful purposes, subject to these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the App except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Service. Please review it carefully: Privacy Policy.
7. Connectivity & Charges
The Service may require an internet connection. You are responsible for any data charges imposed by your network provider.
8. Subscriptions & Purchases
The App may offer paid features via auto-renewing subscriptions and/or in-app purchases (“Purchases”). Purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account.
- Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings (Settings app → your name → Subscriptions).
- Free trials. If a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a free trial (if offered) is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Restore purchases. If the App provides a “Restore Purchases” option, you can use it to restore eligible Purchases.
- Refunds. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple’s policies. You can request a refund at https://reportaproblem.apple.com/.
Subscription options, pricing, and duration are shown in the App at the time of purchase and may change from time to time as permitted by Apple.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER OF THE APP DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER OF THE APP WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE; (B) ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR USE OF OUR SERVERS; OR (C) ANY CONTENT OR OUTPUT GENERATED THROUGH THE SERVICE.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
11. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may modify or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above indicates when these Terms were last revised.
12. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Service, users, or our rights. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the App.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your place of residence, without regard to conflict of law principles.
